The 2025 Moon mission’s space suits, created in collaboration with premium fashion designer Prada, will ensure that NASA astronauts travel in style.
The Italian fashion brand and Axiom Space, another private enterprise, will collaborate on the suit design.
Axiom said in its press release that Prada will contribute knowledge of components and production to the project.
The astronaut told the BBC that, given their background in design, he believed Prada could handle the job.

This experience has been developed through Prada’s participation in the America’s Cup, which is a yachting tournament in addition to the Milan catwalks.
“Prada has significant expertise with different kinds of synthetic fabrics and could possibly be able to make significant real technological improvements to the outermost layers that make up the newly developed space suit,”

“In actuality, a spacesuit resembles a little spacecraft. It must supply oxygen, pressure, and maintain a comfortable temperature for you,” he continued.
Axiom introduced a spacesuit earlier this year that it claimed would be used on the future Artemis 3 mission.
It was said that the 55kg suit fit female travelers better.
Artemis and Prada stated in a press release that they would enable “greater investigation of the lunar landscape than ever before” by utilizing “innovative technologies and design”.
The Prada-designed Artemis 3 expedition will come after Artemis 2, and this will see a capsule flown around the moon either in 2024 or early 2025.
