Rory Mcilroy’s wife, Erica Stoll, has been next to the golfer through much of her decorated career.
The couple married on April 22, 2017 and welcomed a child together three years later.
Stoll, who often attends the athlete’s tournaments, and Mcilroy’s marriage was news when he requested divorce in May 2024.
However, they canceled their breakup and decided to give him another marriage attempt a month later.

New York Native
Stoll comes from Irandequoit, New York, which is about six sweets in Manhattan.
The high school tennis player continued his higher education in the state of New York by attending the Rochester Institute of Technology.
He graduated with a marketing title in 2008.
PGA all day
After university, Stoll began working for the PGA of America.
“The way in which PGA employees present themselves is so admirable and professional. That is the son of the work I want, and he is doing something I love,” he told The Democrat and Chronicle in 2008.
He began as office manager and made the transition to his role as championship volunteer operations manager.
Pretty measures
Stoll and Mcilroy crossed for the first time when he worked as a PGA transport official at the Ryder Cup in 2012.

The golfer was on the market when they were for the first time, since it was in a relationship with Caroline Wozniacki. But after canceling his commitment to professional tennis in 2013, he returned to the market.
The following year, Mcilroy and Stoll begin to leave and maintained their rather private relationship.
“I am very happy in my love life. When we really housed my leg,” he explained in a 2018 interview with The Times of London, sharing: “She is from America, that’s why I like spending time in Palm Beach … the last six. Great.”
Parisian proposal
Things continued to progress and Mcilroy asked the question while on vacation in Paris with Stoll in 2015. However, their commitment almost ruined when a terrorist attack in Paris almost forced them to cancel their getaway.
“We had planned to go to Paris Sprot May, we were always going to go,” he told The Independent. “So, what happened did to usury what we were going to do. So we decided to go and if we liked, if we liked the mood of the place, we did not feel comfortable, we would go to another place.”

Become a family
Stoll’s pregnancy remained secret until his third quarter when her husband confirmed the news.
His daughter, Poppy Kennedy Mcilroy, was born in Jupiter, Florida, on August 31, 2020.
“She is the absolute love of our lives,” the athlete shared on Instagram at that time. “Mother and Baby are very good. Massive thanks to all Jupiter Medical Center staff and Dr. Sasha Melendy for her incredible attention.”
Poppy has joined his parents in several of Mcilroy’s golf tournaments over the years.
Marriage in the rocks
Stoll’s relationship with Mcilroy hit the rocks when he requested divorce after seven years of marriage in May 2024.
Only a month later, his lawyer appeared to dismiss the motion so that he remains married to Stoll.
Mcilroy explained in an interview with The Guardian at the time he and Stoll realized that they wanted to stay together.
“Around the last weeks, Erica and I have realized that our best future was as a family together,” he said. “Fortunately, we have resolved our differentials and we expect a new beginning.”

Stoll and his daughter were next to Mcilroy when he won the Masters on April 13, 2025.
