The parents of a third grade Virginia student were arrested after his son supposedly found a gun at home and took her to school, where without realizing he took out the kind of trigger.

Ciara Armstead, 36, and Terrence Carroll Jr., 34, were trapped hours after the firearm went inside a classroom full of more than two boxes in the Lee Hill elementary school on Spotsylvania at 10:50 am on Monday, Sheriffania Sheriff.

The young man found the non -safe gun at home and put it in his backpack along with his school books, police said.

The student inadvertently squeezed the trigger while recovering some of his bag, which makes the teacher immediately evacuate the 26 students and notify the School Resources officer, according to the Sheriff’s office.

Preliminary investigation found that the elementary student had no intention of damaging anyone, police said.

The child involved will not be accused.

The child’s parents, who according to the police cooperate, were beaten with child danger and the charges of unusual weapons.

Each was released with a bail of $ 5,000 and will appear before the court next Friday for the reading of charges.
