Who says that the ex cannot be friends?
Billy Crudup and Claire Danes had a friendly meeting more than 20 years after their infamous trap scandal of 2003 that involved a then pregnant Mary-Louise Parker.
The two were seen smiling and sharing a hug at the Tisch School of Arts of the University of New York on Monday night, by a video shared by People.
The clip showed Dines, 45, getting up from his table to hug Crudup, 56, and a chat of letters after he came to greet.
Both stars seemed to have attended the event without their respect, Hugh Dancy and Naomi Watts.
Crudup and Danes, while working in the 2003 film, “Stage Beauty” when the actor was in a relationship with Parker.
He left the actress of “weeds”, who had 7 months pregnant at that time, to pursue an affair with the Danes. Parker gave birth to his son, William Atticus Parker, now 21, in January 2004.
While Crudup and the Danes initially tried to hide their relationship, possible moved together and dated until 2007.
Danish reflected on his relationship with Rudup in an interview with Howard Stern in 2015, qualifying experience as a “terrifying thing.”
“That was really difficult. I knew how to do that,” explained the star of “Patria.”
“I was in love with him and needed to explore that and was 24 years old. I didn’t know much what those consequences would be. But that’s fine. I checked it.”
She added: “We are friendly, we are friends.”
The Danes married Dancy in 2009 and share a child together.
Meanwhile, Crudup married Watts in a private ceremony in 2023.
There will be a second wedding with family and friends in Mexico City in June 2024.
