The Mayor of New York City, Eric Adams, cleaned the tears while visiting the horrible collapse site of the nightclub that left 225 dead in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Adams, who traveled to the Jet Set’s nightclub site destroyed Monday morning, choked in front of the news cameras while responding to the victims of the tragedy.

Adams joined Ydanis Rodríguez, commissioner of the Department of Transportation of New York City, who translated while the mayor offered condolences to the community.

“[It’s] One thing to read about a tragedy is one thing to see it in the news, but the impact of being here, and seeing the faces of the people who resolve something is to do, “Adams told the media after his crying moment.

The mayor was invited to cry with members of the community and families of the victims by the general consul, partly due to the large Dominican population of the Big Apple.

“We have a million Dominicans in New York. They believe in the family. They believe in faith. They believe in public security. They believe in children,” he said.

Adams took the collapse scene and observed the monument, photos of the tour show.

The tragedy took place last week when a cement roof collapsed, killing the party attendees, including the art merchant from New York City Elivira Malkic and her husband Kahim Boubazine.

Jennifer Contreras, a 24-year-old Passaic resident, who was in Santo Domingo celebrating her birthday, was another Tri-State area traveler who died tragically.

Adams left a crown crown in the commemorative duration in his visit.

“I leave this crown here as a symbol not only of my love, but of the love that this country, [and] New York, has for you, “said Mayor Adams.
