An American young man was found dead in a holiday beach to the Bahamas with his parents after disappearing the previous day, according to his family.
“They believe that their death is suspicious after the authorities found Dinari Mcalmont, or Maryland, 23, killed on Paradise Island in Nassau on April 6, only 12 hours after landing on the island with their informed parents.
His mother, Michelle Mcalmont, said he was “traumatized” after identifying his son’s body and claimed that he seemed defeated, Fox 5 DC reported, citing Newsess Newsess Bahamas.
The authorities are waiting for the results of the Mcalmont autopsy, said the Bahamas Police Force Commissioner Shanta Knowles, to Outlet Island.
Dinari disappeared after he left his family’s dinner to get a jacket, according to the report. His parents presented a report from the missing person when they could not locate it and could not track the data on the location of their phone.
The family was staying in the reef in Atlantis Resort in Paradise Island, Bahamas.
“We are deeply saddened by the death of one of our guests,” the resort to Fox News Digital told a statement. “Our thoughts are with their family duration at this difficult time. We are full of cooperations with the authorities while carrying out their research.”
The State Department has issued a level 2 travel notice for the Bahamas, which warns of tourists who “take into account high risks for security.” The notice extends to Cuba, the Dominican Republic, the Antilles of the Netherlands and the Turk and the Caicos.
