Laugh. Gunshots. Broken glass Homewers expect not to listen to any of them, but now the new characteristics of AI in the Arlo Safety Subscription service can notify customers about such email sounds and Push notifications. On Thursday, the company announced Arlo Secure 6, the next generation of its security software, which includes alerts for those sounds and others.
Arlo Secure 6 also provides a set of other features, which include subtitles generated by AI to describe events, the ability to search for videos through the use of keywords or descriptions, and flame detection.

The safe camera warns of the subscribers when it detects someone screaming, a dog barking, an intruder who broke the glass or someone shooting a gun. The new improvements build characteristics previously introduced, including the recognition of person and vehicles and personalized detection.
“When your dog bricks, you will be notified so you can watch live videos to see if your dog is barking a stranger or simply a cat,” said Arlo in the statement.
It is a novel concept, said a CNET employee.
“I have tried Arlo Ai advanced in the past, such as the ability to train its visual AI in certain objects,” said Tyler Lacoma, CNET home security editor. “But this is one of the only services that I have seen that you can recognize the flames or send personalized alerts about shots and screams. As the home security AI becomes more advanced, these characteristics are becoming more common, and Arlo is early in the game.”
A growing industry
Arlo’s characteristics increase their competitiveness in the market for home security systems, which will continue to grow for at least the coming years, according to a recent Grand View Research report. The report anticipates an annual global growth rate of a little more than 15 percent the market size of $ 33.94 billion in 2024.

Grand View says that a variety of factors, both social and technological, are promoting growth: Conerns growing on the security, the convenience of the user of monitoring and remote control, and continuous and apparently unlimited advances in AI technology.
The AI cameras market is also booming, thanks in part to the growing demand for next -generation home security systems. According to a recent report of the transparency market research, the market will grow to an estimated $ 35.5 billion by the end of 2034, in an annual growth rate or 14 percent.
Thanks to rapid and constant improvements in image recognition, facial recognition, object detection and behavioral analysis, AI cameras are also becoming vital in security and surveillance indies, automotive, retail, medical care and smart homes.
