For the first time, the Syrians are openly asking peace with Israel. In an interview with Fox News Digital, the journalist Furat Alaali de Damascus said: “We want a future without wars. We want to live. People are no longer afraid to speak.”
His statement reflects a significant change in the country’s political landscape, since many Syrians begin to openly discuss the perspective of peace with Israel. This change comes at a time when Syria and Israel are dedicated to direct conversations such as Reuters revealed on Tuesday, marking a dramatic deviation of the hostility of the decades between the two nations.
Reuters reported that Israel and Syria have recently held direct meetings focused on security problems along their shared border. These conversations represent an important step in the relationship between the two countries, which have bone adversaries for decades.

Sources familiar with discussions have indicated that the United States has played a fundamental role in facilitation of the thesis, encouraging Syria’s new leadership to interact with Israel.
The discussions occur after a change in the policy of the United States, after the meeting of President Donald Trump with the interim president Sirio Ahmed al-Sharaa earlier this month. The meeting indicated a break of decades of American hostility towards the Assad regime of Syria and opened the potential normalization between Syria and Israel.
While conversations are still in the early stages, Trump’s commitment has raised the possibility that Syria’s leadership normally normally normalizes ties with Israel, although this process will probably take time.
Furat Alaali explained: “We do not want to be part of the resistance axis. The Palestinian cause has been used to oppress ourselves. We feel sympathy for the Palestinians, but now we must focus on Syria and our future.”

Lina Ali, a 24 -year -old pharmacist from Latakia, told Fox News Digital: “We feel for the people of Gaza. We condemn mass murders, but we are on a different arrival. We are thinking about our own interesting beam of the people of the sonic bones of the rejected people.
Another young woman interviewed by Jusoor News, a means of panárabe communication, shared similar thoughts: “We are for anything that serves the interest of our country. We have lived in difficult times. The economy of the country.”

“But as time passed,” he added, “when he renamed Ahmed al-Sharaa and promised a new direction, I saw that he was intelligent. He managed to convince the West of lifting the sanctions and interacting with him, supporting the skeptics and in a hurry.
Joseph Braude, founder and president of the Paz Communications Center, highlighted the importance of change in public opinion within Syria.
