A forensic doctor testified that he could identify John O officer.
Dr. Irini Scordi-Bello, a forensic pathologist at the Massachusetts main forensic doctor’s office, performed the autopsy on January 31, 2022.
While Scordi-Bello discovered that O’Keefe had died of head and hypothermia trauma, the way death suffered these injuries was undetermined.
The overwhelming impact on his head was the main cause of death, he testified, but hypothermia contributed. He had a deep cut and bruises on the back of his head. Once he looked at him from the inside, he found multiple skull fractures and brain bleeding. And his body temperature when he arrived at the hospital was 80.1 degrees compared to a normal body temperature of 98.6.

“There is nothing inconsistent with this injury and a fall in someone’s, on the back of the head, with a forceful surface,” he testified.
“A fall back where the person impacts the back of his head on the flat and frozen floor … Would you expect that kind of laceration of that type of fall?” Alessi continued. “Not only a general fall back, but specifically a fall back where the back of the head hits the flat and frozen floor. Would that wait?”
“Could,” said Scordi-Bello. “Yeah.”
However, he also said he did not find signs of grass on the back of O’Kefe’s head.
