Health policy
Patrick Quigley is the CEO of Sidecar Health. It is an initial health insurance company that has a new approach to how employers and employees buy medical care. Sidecar is betting on the idea of transparency of radical prices. Instead of following the route of the contact and narrow network, Sidecar presents the average price of the area and the price of the individual supplier to its members, and reward them if they go to lower cost suppliers (which are often cheaper). How does all this work and is real? Patrick took me through extensive demonstration and explained how all this works. There is a decent amount of complexity behind the scene, but Sidecar is creating something very strange in the United States, a medical care market at prices that allows consumers to choose,Matthew Holt
