Billionaire Elon Musk warned in an interview that the policies of New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, a democratic socialist, would cause a major decline in living standards. Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, appeared on “The Joe Rogan Experience” and acknowledged that Mamdani is the frontrunner in the mayoral race but said that his agenda, if implemented, would hurt New Yorkers’ quality of life. “Mamdani is a charismatic swindler,” Musk said. “I mean you gotta hand it to him, like, he can light up a stage, but he has just been a swindler his entire life.” “If Mamdani’s policies…

When Adam and I drove up to Santa Barbara for the wellness retreat I hosted earlier this month, I knew it would be beautiful—but I didn’t expect how deeply restorative it would feel. We stayed at Paraiso, part of a stunning collection of six Spanish-style homes in Montecito designed by some very talented friends of mine. From the moment we arrived, surrounded by olive trees and golden light, I felt an exhale I hadn’t realized I needed. Between starting the day with beach walks, wandering through Summerland’s design shops, and lingering over dinners that helped us slow down and savor,…

Desain…

I live by Anne Shirley’s oft-quoted words: “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” Growing up in New England, there was no better place to understand that truth. The crisp air, the blaze of gold and amber leaves, weekends spent hiking or baking something warm and comforting. But since moving to milder horizons, a new month has quietly taken October’s place in my heart. November feels different: less spectacle, more soul. It’s when the pace naturally slows, the days grow softer, and home becomes the center of everything. This is the month to light a…
