Federal Reserve Governor Stephen Miran downplayed the economic impact of President Donald Trump’s sweeping trade measures, saying there’s little evidence the new tariffs are weighing on growth or stoking inflation. Miran, who spoke at Semafor’s World Economy Summit on Thursday, said there have been “no real material signs of growth drags, no real material signs of an inflation spike.”  Pressed on whether consumers would end up paying more as companies pass along higher costs, Miran maintained that such a scenario was unlikely. Adults are living longer, but there’s a caveat: Their retirement funds aren’t keeping up with their longer lifespans, according to a recent report.  John Hancock’s Longevity Preparedness Index (LPI), which was developed with MIT AgeLab, revealed that U.S. adults are largely underprepared to live well as they age. Representatives from more than 100 countries had gathered in London to formally approve the so-called global carbon tax, after nearly ten years of negotiations. However, the US government had been pressuring countries to vote “no” on the measure, threatening tariffs if met with noncompliance. The US also threatened other sanctions, including blocking vessels…

I’ve been wearing the $800 Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses daily for ten days and I’m still a bit conflicted. On one hand, I’m still not entirely comfortable with how they look. I’ve worn them on the bus, at the office, on walks around my neighborhood and during hangouts with friends. Each time, I’m very aware that I probably look a bit strange. On the other hand, there’s a lot I really like about using these glasses. The built-in display has helped me look at my phone less throughout the day. The neural band feels more innovative than any wrist-based device…
