Roon The Toon It has been a fantastic event in recent years and this weekend Kilmarnock is the place of the Scottish 10k champions.
The popularity of the race is such that no less than 2700 spaces for a Sunday morning race have been filled in Ayrshire.
And there will be a fight for medals at the abrupt end of the races with the Scottish places of the 10K champions for teams and individuals in sacrifice.

“I am delighted to say that, as well as a general field of 2700, we have, within that, some really fast athletes ready to assume the tone of the stroke,” Ian said.
‘We have 10 women with performances of less than 36 minutes in their name and not ferwer than 21 men who have run less than 32 minutes per distance.
“The record holders of the course for men, women and the 10k Scottish wheelchair champions are admitted for Sunday and we hope to see them in the starting line.”

Plans are being made for a minute applause in memory or Lachie Stewart at the Sunday event.
Working with Roon the tone, we believe that this is appropriate after Sad Pass last weekend of one of the most beloved athletics heroes of Scotland.
The minute applause is scheduled to take place shortly before the start of the race (just before 10 am). Thanks for your support.
