British athletics team announcement
Two Scottish athletes have been named in the GB team and not even for the Trail Ultra Short event. 2025 World Mountain and Trail Running Championship.
The event will take place in Canfranc, Spainin September 25-28.

This is the third combined mountain and trail championship, where athletes from all over the world compete in long and short ultra-diastancy trails, classical mountain distance and higher events alone.
The short path of trails will be 44.5 km with 3657 m of gain and loss of elevation, including the ascent to the moleta, which will cause athletes to rise almost 1500 m in just 6 km.
The team has been selected with the objective of an individual top at the end or to ensure an end of the five best teams in the championships.
The team will join Thomas Roach (Lewes ac) and Kris Jones (Swansea Harriers, Doug Stewart), who were selected last November, which were members of the team won the team’s gold in this event in the last world championships in Austria in 2023.
