A dear subway singer from New York City who was launched to stardom in “America’s Got Talent” died at age 72.
Alice Tan Ridley, the mother of Oscar Nominated Gabourrey Sidibe, died on March 25 in New York City.
His death was confirmed by his loved ones, including the “beautiful” Achant, 41, in an obitarian published by Sconiers funeral home in Columbus, Ga.
No cause of death was announced.
Born on December 21, 1952, the New York native graduated from the Stewart County Secondary School in 1969 before he ignored his teaching license of the New York State Education Board.
Ridley then started a career in a special education teacher at Brooklyn.
In 1980, he married Ibnou Sidibe. The couple welcomed the acres of “Empire” in 1983, as well as their son Ahmed.
