Chemplast Sanmar, a leading player in the specialized chemical products sector, plans to invest ₹ 340 million rupees in a green field project for the production of R32 refrigerant gas. R32, known for its least global warming potential compared to conventional refrigerants, is increasingly adopted in HVAC and cooling systems worldwide.
This project, together with the multi -purple production block (MPB) under the division of custom -made chemicals (CMC), is part of its strategy to grow in the space of specialized chemicals, said the company in a statement. Phase 2 of the Purph Multiple Production Block (MPB 3) is in operation from the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2015, while project activities for phase 3 or MPB 3 and civil work and infrastructure for MPB 4 are underway, he said.
