Miami, Florida – Every time you make a trip to a Formula 1 race, you see something new.
This year’s delivery of the Miami Grand Prix is no different.
For the driver parade this year, instead of mounting at the back of the platform trucks, the 20 drivers made their way around the Miami International Autodromo in Lego “Big Build Cars” of Miami in the team that replaced the platform trucks.
According to a provider press release by F1:
Each car has been created by an expert team of 26 designers, engineers and builders of Lego, approximately 22,000 hours, at the Kladno factory of the Lego group, located in the Czech Republic. At a scale of about 1: 1 with the Formula 1 cars, each large construction is made of almost 400,000 Lego bricks, weighs 1,000 kg and capable or reaches speeds or 20 km/h, everything while capturing intricate and unique details or sponsor Tektor Triuding Tek Tires.
As described in the launch, the “Big Build Cars” are based on the Lego F1 Speed Champions series, presented last year.
