Augusta, VE. – Rory Mcilroy hit the 280 shots around Augusta National this week and routed to capture his first teacher and complete the Grand Slam of his career on Sunday, but there were many things behind the scene to help make his dream come true.
Among those things were regular meetings with Bob Rotella, the most prominent sports psychologist of golf.
No player in the history of Golf entered this week’s teachers with more pressure than Mcilroy brought with him, according to the scar tissue of failure, his long drought without winning a specialty and with the Buren of Expectations.
Rotella has been working with Mcilroy for years, but this week may have been his best job so far.
