The fire suspect caused that the house of the governor of Pennsylvania Josh Shapiro on the first Easter night “clearly had a plan” and was “very methodical,” officials said.
It is expected that Cody Balmer, 38, or Harrisburg, in front of positions of attempted murder, terrorism, fire and aggravated assault against a person listed. Balmer can also face federal charges, authorities said.
Balmer “Forcible entered” Shapiro’s house on Sunday morning, only a few hours after the governor had guests for Easter, and used home incendiary devices to set the house on fire while Shapiro and his family slept, said Lieutenant Colonel George Bivens of the State Police of Pennsylvania.
“Clearly had a plan,” Bivens said, according to CNN. “He was very methodical in his approach.”
While the authorities have said that the attack was “attacked”, a reason was not immediately known.
