A “hero” deacon was shot dead protecting the members of their gunfight congregation in a search for Easter eggs in Mississippi this weekend.
Eddie Shed, with the Christian Center for Empowerment Ministries in Gulfport, was killed when Tyran Dion Dion Gable, 24, allegedly opened fire after a “children’s custody dispute” on Saturday afternoon, Gulfport confirmed to people.
Shed, a 39 -year -old father, died two people who had tried to unwishly the custody dispute.
“He died to a hero doing what is best, and that is to protect and that is loving and that is taking care of everyone,” said the member of the Alexis Weathersby church to Wlox.
“He was a wonderful man who was willing to do everything for anyone.”
Shed was declared dead on the scene and another victim, who has not identified bone, was transferred by plane to a hospital outside the state.
Gable, who also received a shot, was tasks of a local hospital where he was arrested and accused of murder.
Pastor Gregg Magee of the EMCC said after the shed “personified the virtues of a hero” after “showing selfless courage and courage that finally saved others of damage.”
“Hello, he paid the final price for its value, and this loss is deeply sad,” wrote the pastor.
“Deacon Shed was a pillar of strength within our community and a lighthouse of light and hope. His unwavering faith, kindness and dedication to serve others have left an inseplable mark to all who knew him.
“What was the way in which a beautiful day full of laughter and joy was eclipsed by a criminal act and we are all disconsolate by this meaningless violence”?
Three people, including Gable, were arrested in the shooting, according to local reports.
