Encandida wax, turns off.
Actress Courtney Hengger, who played Amanda Larusso in the very popular “The Karate Kid” Spin -off “Cobra Kai” in Netflix, is stopping acting after more than two decades in the industry.
“After more than 20 years of fighting the good fight in the business business, I hung my gloves on Friday,” Hangeller, 46, announced in a replacement post. “I called my agents and kicked them. I was hitting. I didn’t want to be a gear in the machine wheel.”
“When you are asked to know what I Did To do, “he added,” I simply replied “I want to be the machine.”
Before starring the wife on the screen of Ralph Macchio in “Cobra Kai” for the full race of six seasons of the program, Hengelr had several small appearances in other television projects such as “House”, “Criminal Minds”, “Mom” and “Jane the Virgin.”
He also played Sheldon Cooper’s sister, Missy Cooper, in two episodes of “The Big Bang Theory.”
“Everything I have known in my professional life was to act. But not even the art or crafts of acting. Everything I have really known was the hustle and bustle,” the New Jersey native continued. “HustleI’m sorry’ (That’s all. That was my line. Genius).“
“We survive from the crumbs,” said Henggerer. “We filled our cup with the possibility; our cups with enthusiasm. Our dishes were empty, but a golden goose hung from our heads. Today it could be the day. Today it could be the day I arrive at the golden goose.“
“More than 20 years of this,” he wrote. “I’m hungry”.
But acting with “The Karate Kid” stars Macchio, 63, and William Zabka, 59, in “Cobra Kai” for six seasons was not the only career of Henggeler. He also worked with George Clooney for the actor converted in film 2023 of the director “The Boys in the Boat”.
“And I am considered one of the lucky ones. I was in a series. A successful series. I made money. My face was in the advertising fences that I longed for for more than 20 years,” Hengeller wrote. “I was directed by George Clooney for Godsakes. This for all definitions is the golden goose.”
“I’m hungry,” he added.
Henggerer’s decision to get away from Hollywood comes months after “Cobra Kai” came to an end on February 13.
While “Cobra Kai” saw the return of Daniel Larousso by Macchio and Johnny Lawrence of Zabka, was far from the first sequel to “The Karate Kid”, although it was the first filmed for the small screen.
The story of “Karate Kid” that began the franchise in 1984 continued with “The Karate Kid Part II” in 1986 and “The Karate Kid Part III” in 1989.
A fourth film, “The Next Karate Kid,” was launched in 1994, but only Mr. Miyagi (Pat Morita) returned for this delivery. Hilary Swank also played Julie Pierce.
The original film received a remake in 2010. Once again, “The Karate Kid”, saw Jaden Smith Estrella as the protagonist Dre Parker and Jackie Chan appear as Mentor Mr. Han.
It was not until May 2018 that Netflix launched the first season of “Cobra Kai”, with Macchio and Zabka returning to their original roles.
“I feel great, because when does this happen?” Macchio told the New York Times shortly before the final of the program in February. “A program based on a 34 -year film before creating a new Fandom and new generations of fans around a franchise. It seems that he is landing at the right time and not overcoming his welcome. I am excited by fans around the world in a forest.” “
“It’s less goodbye to me and ‘see you next time,” he continued. ” As everywhere and as big as ‘Cobra Kai’ with thesis fights and accidental deaths and all billions of characters, he was still born from the rivalry of Daniel and Johnny and now, in turn, friendship. “
“And that is the son of life imitating art imitating life,” Macchio added, “it’s not that Billy and I was ever rivals, but we never went as close as we are today.”
“Karate Kid: Legends”, another sequel that will see Macchio return as Daniel Larusso and Chan as Mr. Han, is scheduled for its launch on May 30. Report is carried out three years after the “Cobra Kai” events.
