Four people, including a small child, were killed in an accumulation of four cars that involved a school minivan on Route 10 in New Jersey on Thursday, according to officials.
Yexsel Reyes Granados, four years old, died because of his wounds on Friday afternoon, one day after a minivan of the PG Chamber school was involved in the accident on the road of Garden State, NJ.com reported that the office of the prosecutor of the Corris County.
Two other riders of Minivan, Bertha Castaneda, 67, and Maria Figueroa, 58, also died in the accident, according to that report.
A driver in another vehicle, Diane Goetz, 71, was the fourth victim.
Meanwhile, another child remains hospitalized and two other adults were injured and required medical care, according to NJ.com.
“While we cannot reveal many details about the circumstances of this accident at this time, I can say that this is a horrible tragedy for the Morris County community and beyond,” said Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, according to The Outlet.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who lost their lives, and with those whose lives will undoubtedly be affected by their loss,” he continued.
A GOFUNDME created for the benefit of YEXSEL Granados’s family remembered the “brave” four -year -old boy heartbreak.
“Yxsel was only 4 years old, a sweet and brave child whose light shone intensely despite the challenges they faced,” the page said.
“He brought joy, love and heat to all those around him, and his spirit touched many in our community. His loss is a tragedy beyond words.”
Gofundme’s page said the minivan of the school was run over by a car traveling at about 80 miles per hour.
The authorities have not commented on the circumstances of the accident.
