Students in uncontrollable weak Barcelona after learning about the devastating news on Friday that their classmates were killed aboard the condemned helicopter who crashed into the Hudson River.
“There are no words that can express what we feel this moment,” said the Jesuits of the Sant Ignesi school in a statement published on social networks on Friday.
The school offered its condolences and support to the families and friends of the victims, Agustin Escobar, his wife, Mercè Camprubí Montal, and their three children, Augustin, 10, Mercedes, 8, and Victor, 4.
The family was killed when their tourism fell into the air and lunches the Hudson River of New York City on Thursday. The pilot, the veteran of the Navy Sean Johnson, 36, also died.
The family was visiting the great apple of Spain to celebrate Mercedes’s birthday, extending a work trip Escobar, a Siemens executive, was a bar.
The students of Sant Ignasi sobbed and hugged their parents after listening to their tragic news on Friday, just before they were about to leave for spring holidays.
The school celebrated a moment of silence for the family, said student Oleguer Bertran, 18, Associated Press.
“In due time, we will share information about the events to honor and remember our beloved family,” said Sant Ignasi in his announcement.
“We are deeply grateful for the condolences and expressions of affection received, and we thank you for an injection.”
The comments offered by condolences flooded publications on the social networks of the school.
“Dear God, I have no words to express my feelings, an entire family with young children, this is a tragedy,” a person wrote. “Many thanks to school for their accompaniment for families, workers and, above all, students. Very difficult way to start Easter.”
It is not clear if the three children attended the school, which is in the exclusive neighborhood of Sarrià and services services to children of the nursery to high school and vocational training.
