In 2009, a comedy led by Ferrell faced a large budget that faced a smaller and unscathed upset at the summer box office and Lost Land I quickly kick my butt for The Hangoverwhich is customary to generate the multiple sequels that universal executives probably left the morning adaptation of Ferrell morning. Now, many years later, the Ferrell movie has been spending the 10 films most chosen by the maximum. But, is it worth claiming, or should they choose all? The Hangover All again?
The yeast: Okay, it is a strange idea. Take a basic food on Saturday in the morning of action live, a family stranded in a prehistoric dimension, fly it to a large -budget scale and divide the family element into the process. Then, instead of Papa Rick, son Marshall and his daughter Holly, Lost Land It follows the Lahingstock Rick scientist (Will Ferrell), Holly doctoral candidate (Anna Friel) and the local OAF (Danny McBride) while absorbing through a time warp and ends in a dinosaur Dinosaur Chossa Cresa-Era Cresa-Era Roam Dinosaur. They explore this land of the lost; Rick and Holly fall in love, Rick and make an accidental drug trip, and Rick forms a rivalry in the form of Loageey melodies with a tyrannosaur. They also meet the man of man (Jorma Taccone) and participate in several cartoon and/or absurdist situations.
What will you remember?: Ferrell is playing another insecure man, so there is an obvious kinship with his best comedies of this era, such as Stepbrother and The other boys. But in the combination of inventive visual effects and dialogues of comedy stars, in a film that will attract children, even thought it is not really for children, it is not very far from something like GAPANS. Not at that level, yes, but a similar cross between Saturday Night Live And Saturday morning.
It is worth seeing the performance: Most of the film is Ferrell, Friel, McBride and Taccone, and all fun, they thought it is McBride who is likely to appear more decisively. (On the other hand, Friel has not been in many or great films since then, so she is the one who savors).
Sex and skin: That is perhaps the only area where the film could be described as touches.
Memorable dialogue: Ferrell has many funny outbursts, but I like a particularly upset mini monologue where he suggests that with low rations, they can want to kill and eat Chaka, and there they speculate on his best way.
OUR TOMA: Yes, Todd Phillips won the long summer comedy of 2009 Battle Royale; The Hangover Raised many times more than Lost LandIt generated two sequelae, began several races, and any way led Phillips to receive a nomination for the Academy Award. Lost LandMeanwhile, put Ferrell in a kind of box office time as its disaster with the greatest budget, and more or less ended the career of great studies or director Brad Siberling (which he also did Casper and the Snickt Lemony Movie). But I don’t know, man: I would give the advantage to Lost Land Both in laughter and in visual inventiveness, despite its ignominious IP origins. Only the first BearingR leaves an unpleasant aftertaste, because Phillips rarely seems really happy to make comedies; Ferrell, meanwhile, has an infectious commitment and a good mood.
In general, the problem with all those great comedies of special effects that try to recover the GAPANS The magic is that it is difficult to reconcile the solidity and apparent spontaneity of comedy riffs with the technical planning necessary to execute a lot of gunshots of complicated effects. For any reason Lost Land I mix them quite well; Sets and CG creatures have a son of rarity and tactility that successful recreates the aesthetics of the program with a larger budget, while Ferrell and McBride still have space for nonsense. After so many Jurassic Park Films, it is new to see a creature (or types) where a giant and fearsome dino is treated as a comic enemy, instead of a force of nature. Now, unlike Ferrell’s classic comedies with Adam McKay, there is no larger satirical point here, nor is the cast stacked with comic bells capable of raising each dialogue scene in a kind of Batty male panic poetry. But among his comedies no McKay, Lost Land He meets Eleven and Glory blades As one of the most fun efforts of Ferrell of the 2000s (and, frankly few of their leading roles since 2010 have not overcome this either). Although it may seem perverse to get rid of the most friendly elements for children in the original series, slightly older children, for example, who dig the comedy hybrid of equally silly effects Minecraft -Might Real find the movie a viable PG-13 gateway to SNL-Celacada comedy. Hey, classify or like GAPANS Back in your day!
Our call: If you like Ferrell, or McBride, or the idea or the various dinosaurs and the strange people with lizard with tunics, what are you waiting for? Transmit it.
