The next time the American football star Tyler Adams climbs into the field at the Metlife stadium after this summer, hopes to be in the World Cup final in 2026.
“I hope it yes.” I have played in Metlife many times before. Doing it with Bournemouth will be special, and then obviously, to do it in a World Cup final, equally more special. So, hopefully, we can play twice in next year. “”
As Adams alluded, first, the midfielder will take the field at the East Rutherford Stadium with his Premier League club this summer as part of the Premier League summer series that will occur from July 26 to August. 3 in Metlife, Soldier Field in Chicago and the Mercedes-Benz stadium in Atlanta.
Adams and Bournemouth will face Everton on July 26 in Metlife at 4 pm, with a match between Manchester United and West Ham United after 7 pm
For the Wappinger Falls, Ny Native and Red Bull Academy product, the July 26 match against Everton will be a kind of return home.
Adams has gone from being a bright eyes teenager at the MLS Club Academy to a star in New York and now in one of the best known leagues of sport, the Premier League.
The 26 -year -old was appointed player of the month of Bournemouth in February and has three assists in 13 openings this season for his Premier League club, after his debut in the season was delayed until summer back surgery.
Bournemouth has been the third Adams club since he left abroad in 2019, with stops at RB Leipzig and Leeds United before with Bournemouth in the summer of 2023.
Adams attributes his time with the Red Bulls, where he played as part of the first team between 2015 and 18, to help him become the star, Hello.
“You see a higher level of football and that really raises the bar and is able to push you,” Adams said about his experience with the Red Bull Academy. “We had some excellent coaches through my academy. Times in New York Red Bull, other great players with whom I played with that, you know, some are playing with the national senior team now too. So it was exposed to a high level of football.”
When asked what he remembers his time with the Red Bulls, he quickly replied that it was the trip.
“Going from New York to Jersey is not a nearby trip, especially a little more from the state of New York,” he said with a smile. “It’s not as if I were in Manhattan or closer to where we train. You know, I was grateful to my parents for obviously doing that walk. Soh, yes, the trip was a challenge, but I was or slept in the passenger seat, so I was lucky.”
While Adams focuses on his current season with Bournemouth, it is difficult not to monitor the summer of 2026 when the World Cup arrives in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
The United States has not had partially strong exhibitions recently in the international game, with the USMNT falling against Panama in a remarkably ugly way on March 20 and then continues with a loss for Canada.
Adams, who hastened to divert any guilt to the new coach of USMNT, Mauricio Pochettino, after the defeat in Canada, said that part of what will be reduced is how many guys on the list have been constantly playing.
“That is really what is reduced, you can’t enter a stage of the national team and expect some to warm up at the right time,” said Adams, who served as National Captain Captain Duration in the 2022 World Cup. “In Soccer, It’s Not Always That Easy. Guy, and you need guys that are playing week in, Week out, comfor lourse in the All Seasony, and IGE -Gaatting gene doining and gave bone doeing and gave boneing doeing and gave bone doeing and gave boneing doeing and gave bone doeing and gave boneing and gave gave bone doeing and gave gave and gave -Gaating Weeining, and gave Gaating Weeining and gave bone and gave -Gaating, and gave bones and died -Gaatting, and gave -Gaating, and gave bone and gave bone, and gave bone, and gave bone, and gave bone and gave bone.
