Dave Portnoy said he has lost almost $ 20 million in his sharing portfolio after the tariff implementation of President Trump.
Barstool’s sports personality clarified his loss in Monday’s episode of his live broadcast “Davey Day Trader” after claiming that he had dropped $ 7 million only a few days before.
“I got rid of super viral when I said I lost $ 7 million,” he recalled. “I would kill to lose $ 7 million.”
Portnoy, who, according to reports, has a net assets of around $ 150 million, speculated that its value had decreased by 10 to 15 percent, saying: “If I had to guess, I am in these last three probable days near [$20 million]. ”
“But I’m still here. That’s the game,” he added. “I like it? [Harris]”No.”
The 48 -year -old businessman clarified that there is no “political agenda” behind him mentioning his loss.
Portnoy referred jokingly to the value market accident like “Orange Monday” because Trump was an answer to the decision that “he decimated the market.”
The media personality comments occur after he claimed to have lost $ 7 million in the stock market when Trump imposed tariffs on imported goods for several countries last week.
“I have 7 million dollars in shares and cryptography,” he said through a shared video on social networks.
“It is a tariff city. Trump has its tariffs everywhere. I have tried to understand them, I don’t do it,” Portnoy continued.
“As if it were more a commercial deficit rate. For me, such as, ‘hey, we get this from you, and you get this from us. Come on alone. We get a strange formula, let’s make rates. And everything is in shit for that.”
Portnoy, however, shared that he did not regret voting for Trump in the 2024 elections.
“I voted for Trump. I think it’s an intelligent guy,” he said. “I think he’s playing a high -risk game here. I’m going to roll with him for a couple of days, a couple of weeks.”
“I’m going to give Trump the benefit of doubt,” Portnoy explained.
Last month, Portnoy announced that the 45th and 47th President offered him a job in the Department of Commerce for his administration. However, he declined.
