The widow of former NHL star Johnny Gaudeau gave birth to the third son of the couple earlier this month.
Meredith Gaudreau Tok on Instagram to announce that Carter Michael Gaudreau was born on April 1.
Meredith also revealed the most important detail: “It is also seen exactly as his dad.”
“Another baby,” Meredith wrote. Carter is the couple’s second boy.
Johnny and his brother Matthew were killed last summer by an alleged drunk driver who led them as they set up their bicycles in New Jersey.
“The authorities believe they are Higgins, 43, used the approximate lane to pass a sedan and hit the cyclists when he took into account the right lane,” according to Fox 29 in Philadelphia. “The researchers said the mortal collision occurred when the SUV in front of Higgins moved to the road to pass the two cyclists safely, and Higgins tried to pass the SUV to the right.
“Higgins is accused of two charges of death by car, along with reckless driving, possession of an open container and alcohol consumption in a motor vehicle.”
The tragedy was aggravated by the fact that the accident occurred just before Gaudreau’s sister married.
Johnny Gaudreau played at the NHL for 11 years, his first nine with the flames of the Calar and the last two with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Totalized 243 goals and 500 assists. Gaudreau also played for the US team.
