Emanuel Sharp had to be comforted after the heartbreaking loss of the game of the National Championship of Houston on Monday night, but it might not have been what I expected.
The Guard of the Cougars was with his hands on his face when the final bell rang in defeat 65-63 against the Florida Gats in the Alamodome in the final game of March Madness.
Houston showed a 12 -point advantage in the second half and Sharp teammates tried to comfort him, whose decision in recent seconds sealed the fate of the Couchars.
The CBS cameras caught the crawls to Walter Clayton Jr. reaching acute and putting it with his arm and telling something to the Houston player, presumable to try to lift his spirits.
“My heart breaks for Emanuel Sharp,” said the CBS Sports College Jon Rothstein Basketball informant during the show after the game. “I think of this tournament in which we look back … My heart breaks for Emanuel Sharp.”

The guard is likely to feel the additional sting of the moment, after having made the strange decision to bounce the ball instead of risking a triple with the seconds that work in the game.
With just under five remaining in the game, Sharp had the opportunity for a long -term triple, but the shot passed and hit the ball on the court.
As Sharp chose to do that, he couldn’t touch the ball in another way; That would have a leg rotation.
But, the decision led to a turnover anyway despite a last effort of a second Houston player to grab the ball.
Time expired and the Gaters captured their first national championship since 2007.
Clayton finished the game with 11 points, seven assists and five rebounds in the victory of the national title over the Couchars and was appointed most prominent player of the tournament.
Sharp had shot only 3 of 11 for Houston in the defeat and finished the game with eight points, three rebounds and an assistance.
