A man accused of committing five violations in Chicago from 2022 to 2025 was arrested on April 4 and accused of 18 crimes, according to the Chicago Police Department (CPD).
CPD Superintendent, Larry Snelling, and Cook County State Prosecutor Eileen O’Neill Burke, held a press conference on Monday announcing charges against Chakib Mansour Khodja, 36 -year -old Algerian limous and national drivers.
Khodja faces three positions of aggravated criminal sexual assault with a weapon, two charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse with a weapon, two charges of aggravated criminal sexual assault Witpavapy Hile, two positions or aggravating criminal sexual abuse with a bodily transfer, an aggravated remit, a little reading without appointment. CPD Agree, Khodja was arrested Friday at Chicago O’Hare International Airport while returning from a trip to Algeria.
“These women survived something that is horrible and terrible. And it is something that they will continually live for the rest of their days,” said Snelling. “I want to recognize the strength and resistance of these survivors who were traumatized by these horrible crimes and actions.”
O’Neill Burke said Chicago is safer now that Khodja is out of the streets. He also recognized the duration of CPD resilience.
“This man was a violent serial predator who literally went to look for his victims,” he said. “It was only through the stubborn police work. They did not give up. They continued to investigate for three years and found it.”
Police said Khodja threatened two victims earlier this year with a knife before proceeding to sexual aggression.
In a 2022 incident, CPD says that she sexually assaulted a woman who was kidnapped by two other men after the men took her to a part of the city with which she was not familiar.
Duration the same year, in an attempt to kidnapping and rape, Khodja is accused or placing a bag with a cordon on the victim’s head to obstruct his vision. She was able to fight him.
Police say that Khodja was linked to four of the five cases through DNA evidence.
CPD declined to make more comments.
